Voice communications in Navatec Voyager consists of fully encrypted peer-to-peer calls on machine-to-machine, through-firewall and NAT networks. Navatec Voyager bandwidth is very low and stable and there is zero systems capacity loss behind NAT walls.
Signal stability & clarity - in voice communications is ensured through very small data packets combined with low bandwidth and sound activity monitoring. Our system can tolerate data loss with no perceptible loss in voice quality and packets are only sent when there is sound thereby reducing bandwidth consumption. Conferences calls - are also stable and easy to manage. They can be initiated between any two callers and any number of additional conference participants can be added during the conversation. User directories & online status - All users of Navatec Voyagers are listed in a general directory. Businesses can have their own exclusive network directories. These directories are used to add contacts to personal directoriesto be used when calling others. Navatec Voyager's unique UC (universal channel) provides a network-wide monitoring of the online status of all users and any particular user can see, at any time, which of their personal contacts are online. Text chat - is a standard capability on all voice dialogues and an instant response message system allows communication with other parties not in a conversation or conference, see the text communications section for further information. Sound volume - controls include microphone volume level setting, boost and mute as well as earphone and/or loudspeaker volume. Online status - is an advisory switch to inform callers if one is unavailable or busy. This dialogue also has the switch to activate the voice activity mode of operation which significantly reduces bandwidth consumption. Recording conversations & conferences - is accomplished using an integrated recorder. This provides the means to naming sound files, start and stop recording, sound file save and reset. |
